My Crochet Journey: From Skeptic to Sole Proprietor
It all started back in 2019. I was looking for a creative outlet and thought, "Why not try crochet?" With zero experience, I headed to the craft store, picked out a beautiful ball of soft yarn and a hook in my favorite color, and figured I was all set.
Spoiler: I wasn't! I quickly learned there was a vital connection between yarn weight and hook size, a concept I completely missed. Frustrated, I put the project away.
My interest was reignited on Christmas Eve when I saw my sister-in-law effortlessly crocheting. A few weeks later, my partner encouraged me to find a fulfilling hobby, and I remembered that spark. This time, I took a structured approach, ordering a beginner's kit and diligently teaching myself the fundamentals.
Soon, I was hooked—literally! I was making a steady stream of cute little animals for friends and family, and the feedback was incredible. They were the ones who encouraged me, saying, "You should sell these and share the cuteness!"
It took a little time to work up the courage, but I eventually decided to make it official. I got my LLC and turned my passion into a proper business. Now, as a sole entrepreneur, I get to share my handmade, adorable creations with you and your family. Every piece is made with love and a whole lot of joyful perseverance!
